Every year the members of the GIDRM gather for a few days in an Italian city with the aim of exchanging their results in the various fields of magnetic resonance. This year Pavia is the venue for the annual congress. Pavia is a historical city located on the Ticino river about 30 Km south from Milan.
The meeting will comprise primary lectures delivered by invited leading scientists, short communications and poster sessions. Main topics will be Material Science, Organic Chemistry, Organometallics, Biological Macromolecules, Structure Validation, Drug Screening and In Vivo. The congress will be held in the rooms of the University of Pavia. An appropriate space for an exhibition of the manufacturers and vendors of spectrometers, accessories and services will be made available to our sponsors during the congress.
Participants will find suitable accommodation in new and comfortable University's guest houses. If 3 people from the same institution register for the conference, only 2 registration fees will be charged! We ask participants to take advantage of this possibility to include at least one young scientist in the group. Depending on the budget, additional free registrations will be available for PhD students and junior post-doctoral fellows. Please submit to Lucia Zetta the title of your abstract, your curriculum vitae and a presentation letter from your research advisor.
The deadline for abstract submission is June 15, 2002. One-page abstracts must be sent via e-mail to abstracts.pavia2002@gidrm.eu.org as a camera-ready "postscript" file. Microsoft Word users are strongly encouraged not to send their abstract as a ".doc" file, as the layout of the document is dependent on the printer used. They can easily generate a "postscript" file by installing the driver for a "postscript" printer (e.g. HP Laserjet 4/4M PostScript) and using the "print on a file" option of the printing form as shown in the following screenshot. Please check your file against the programs ghostscript and gsview
Abstract margins must be 2.5 cm wide. Font must be Times Roman 12 or equivalent. Title must be written centred in capital letters, beginning just after the upper margin. Then, after a blank line, authors names must be listed flushed left. Please use first name, other names initials and surname and underline the name of the author presenting the work. Then add authors' addresses. DO NOT leave a blank line between authors' names and addresses. Finally, DO leave a blank line and write the abstract. If references are needed, cite references using in-line numbers in brackets (like "(4)") throughout the text.
