Q: How do I reach Pavia by train?

Q: And where do I go when I'll arrive at Pavia station?
A: The railway station is just a 20 min walk far from the two "Collegi" ("Del Maino" and "Cardano") where you will stay during the congress and it is a 15 min walk far from the University where the congress will be held. The following map will help you reaching the congress places.

Of course you'll find taxis just outside the station.
Q: How do I reach Pavia by plane?
A: The closest airports to Pavia are Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa. Both airports provide a bus service to Pavia at an affordable price.

Q: Which equipment will you provide for the oral communications?
A: Feel free to prepare your presentation in either "digital" or "analogic"
form.
For "digital" presentations you will find a computer projector with 800x600 video resolution. Please, be aware that the computer connected to the projector runs the Power Point 2000 program, so take your laptop with you should you need some other specialized software!
For "analogic" presentations you will find both slides and overhead projectors. If you use slides, please inform the organizers immediately at the time of registration.
Q: What are the maximum dimensions of the posters?
A: 1 m (width) x 2 m (height).
Q: I am a busy person! How do I get in touch with my coworkers at the lab?
A: We will provide at least one PC equipped with a web browser, an SSH client, a TELNET client and a VNC client...no internet telephony, sorry!
Q: I was assigned a room at one of the two "Collegi" in Pavia. Are they hotels or what?
A: They provide hotel service, but do not serve foods. A *VERY* simple breakfast with a warm beverage and a snack is offered at the machines...but what about having breakfast in a real bar?
