NMR position at IRBM (Apr 18, 2007)
Our member Daniel Cicero informs us that a position is open at IRBM for a PhD scientist working in the field of NMR (closing date May 31, 2007).
"The succesful candidate will serve as an expert in spectroscopic analysis using NMR for the medicinal chemistry group in IRBM.
Make innovative contributions to the Medicinal chemistry department by providing solutions to complex structural problems using a sound understanding of chemical theory and knowledge of the current literature and by proactively applying a specific expertise to satisfy project goals.
Exhibit practical skills and knowledge of modern applied high resolution NMR necessary in a pharmaceutical R&D setting, including hands-on experience with instrumentation.
Apply new technologies to improve processes, and demonstrate an ability to use databases, molecular modeling, and library resources in the research and development of new approaches to solving problems.
Be willing to develop self as a resource for NMR analysis for support of synthetic chemistry
Write detailed and high-quality reports of lab work for internal departmental use and external publications."
